I received a call on a Thursday afternoon from the father of a driver who would be appearing in the X-Games in a few weeks and needed a wrap for their race car. The car was located a few hours away from me, but the shop that would be printing and wrapping the car had told me that there was a template available. The template turned out to be for a completely different car chassis, so I asked the shop to take a few photos and measurements for me and I would create a design that was flexible when it came time to install.
The driver had a few colors that he wanted used and we were somewhat on the same page when it came to finding inspiration (the driver was also in a different city so we were communicating via phone and email). After a few quick iterations, a design was sent off to the wrapping shop Sunday evening and the car was wrapped the following week and shipped off to the X-Games…
